Shanda
Our restaurant, bar, cafe and brasserie are managed by Lisl Bennett (Head Chef) and Shanda de Souza (Assistant Chef), both from South Africa and of Irish, Goan and Portuguese descent!   Lisl has travelled and worked all over the world and enjoys including its exotic flavours in her cooking. She is a trained Natural Nutritionist and so you might notice some lighter and healthier options on this season's menus!  Lisl has cooked at a number of top restaurants and game lodges in South Africa and was originally a helicopter pilot!  Yes, in the South African Air Force for many years, which is where she says she learnt how to run her kitchen so efficiently...! France is one of her favourite cooking destinations and in Plaisance she loves the rich, varied and abundant local and organic produce.   Look forward to more of the pure and natural flavours on your late this year!   Shanda is Lisl's assistant chef, having recently qualified from South Africa's top cooking establishment, Silwood School of Cookery, after an intensive 3 year program including one year's training experience at two of Cape Town's top restaurants, La Colombe and The Foodbarn, where she trained up to Chef de Parti in two sections.  She is particularly good at sauces and starters and has a great passion for patisserie!       
Opening hours:
​We are open from Easter until the end of October each year. Opening hours differ between Spring, Summer and Autumn. Our brasserie and bar are typically open from Monday to Friday over lunch and dinner whilst our restaurant serves semi-gastronomic dishes on Saturday evenings and on Sunday for lunch.
Reservations are recommended! All meals are served on our charming outdoor terraces, brasserie or beautiful medieval dining rooms.  Call us on +33 9 67 12 10 58 to make your reservation.

Dear clients... after another wonderful season for which we thank you, our restaurant is closed for the winter period and will reopen at Easter in 2018.
